MWPA Vegetation Management Work has begun in West Marin
Inverness Residents,
Beginning on November 4th, your Measure C dollars were put to work on projects to reduce fire hazardous fuels along roadways in and around Inverness. Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority, Marin County Fire Department, and Inverness Public Utility District have partnered on a project to thin vegetation along roadways that would be critical during an evacuation. This work will be guided by biologists who will flag areas to avoid. (So if you see flagging, please don't remove it!)
One crew will be working in the Inverness areas for approximately 4-6 weeks. Work hours and days are Monday - Thursday, 8AM-4PM. All roads will remain open to traffic during work. Expect some minor delays and temporary traffic control while our crews are working within the roadway. During this time, please adhere to all temporary traffic signage and please take care while driving past our hard working crew. A list of roads to be treated this season and an approximate schedule is listed below.
November 2024

- North/South Dream Farm Roads
Fall/Winter 2024/2025
